Time: 2:45-6:00 p.m. Location: Whitchurch, Hampshire Take advantage of this unique opportunity to explore the award-winning, state-of-the-art sustainable distillery in the heart of Hampshire. The Bombay Sapphire Distillery is housed in a 300-year-old former paper mill renovated by Heatherwick Studio, for which JFA conducted the ecological impact assessment. Guests are invited to go behind the scenes for a special gin cocktail workshop, before exploring the distillery, set in the beautiful natural surroundings along the River Test. Guests can explore the Heritage Room, glasshouses and Botanical Dry Room before joining the distillery hosts for a tour of the unique Vapour Infusion distillation process in the Dakin Still House. The experience ends in the Mill Bar where every guest receives a complimentary cocktail. For further details of the event, click here. JFA originally carried out the ecological impact assessment for the historic mill complex, which subsequently obtained a BREEAM outstanding rating; the first ever such award for a refurbished building and distillery. Valuable work was carried out to open up ecologically Sensitive River, which had been hidden in concrete culverts. Laverstoke Mill is a site steeped in natural beauty, sitting astride the crystal clear River Test and situated within a Conservation Area and Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI).The banks of the river were also naturalised with a reeds and flower beds to enhance biodiversity.
