Vacancy for Consulting Ecologist

We currently have a vacancy for an ecologist (London-based with field work) to work on a range of projects. Candidates must have a strong understanding of ecological and scientific principles and must be rigorous in their analysis of information. The ideal candidate will have a first and an advanced degree in ecology or a closely related subject, with 1-3 years relevant experience working in a professional consultancy environment (or similar).

The successful candidate will have experience of conducting ecological surveys (Phase I, II and protected species), experience with a range of faunal and floral groups and an understanding of UK nature conservation legislation. Membership of IEEM and the ability to hold protected species licences would be a distinct advantage. The candidate will be numerate and have good writing and general communication skills. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

The successful candidate will have opportunities for involvement in a diversity of environmental projects in the UK and other countries. There will also be scope for career development in the broad area of our environmental business.
