Lizzie Wandrag BSc (Hons) MSc AIEEM - Ecologist
Lizzie has experience of Phase 1 habitat surveys, Phase 2 (NVC) vegetation
surveys and protected species surveying and licensing. She has worked on
mitigation strategies for reptiles, bats, badgers and great crested newts, as
well as habitat creation schemes. Lizzie also undertakes BREEAM assessments for
homes, offices and schools. Before joining JFA Lizzie worked on a project in
Tanzania and was involved in baseline data collection, biodiversity assessment
and monitoring, developing environmental awareness initiatives and ecological
training.
Laura Phillips BSc (Hons) MSc MIEEM - Ecologist
Laura recently joined JFA in May 2008 and has been involved in phase 1 habitat
surveys, Code for Sustainable Homes assessments, protected species surveying,
licensing, EIAs, mitigation techniques and risk assessments. Prior to joining
JFA Laura has gained experience in ecological surveying and plant
identification through her academic work. Interests include the conservation
issues involved in developing countries and marine conservation. Laura has
spent time working in animal rehabilitation centres in South America and her
MSc thesis involved interviewing the many stakeholders involved in a community
led no-take fishing zone in Scotland. Interviewees include; the Clyde
Fishermen’s Association, politicians, NGOs and the Scottish Executive. In her
spare time Laura volunteers with the Rainforest Foundation and The Royal Parks,
primarily involved in events and raising awareness.

Jonathan S Denton BSc, DPhil, FRES - Senior Environmental Scientist,
Herpetofauna and Invertebrates
Dr Denton has conducted over a decade of scientific research and field work
world wide. His areas of expertise include invertebrate and herpetofauna
surveys. He is involved in numerous habitat creation and translocation schemes
for reptiles and the great crested newt for major infrastructure projects in
the UK. He is actively involved in preparing and progressing Biodiversity
Action Plans, specifically for the natterjack toad.
